gdańsk has its own stunning arena!

It took 3 years and almost 800 million złotys to complete. Finally, Gdańsk has its own fully professional football stadium. And yes, it is something we are definitely proud of.

"Amazing!", "the most beautiful stadium in Poland, perhaps even in Europe","breathtaking" - we could hear all around on the 6th of August, when PGE Arena Gdańsk for the first time opened its gates to visitors.

PGE Arena Gdańsk was built in order to serve during UEFA Euro 2012, which is partly going to be played in Gdańsk. The stadium's exterior is designed to resemble amber which can be found along the Baltic Coast. The seats (44 thousand) are in different shades of green, the official colour of the Lechia Gdańsk football team.

The first match is going to be played on the 14th of August between Cracovia and Lechia Gdańsk.
