forget me not...

Szafa Gdańska is a lovely little shop located just off Długa Street in the heart of the historic Main Town.

It’s such fun browsing around the old-fashioned and cosy interior and finding little treasures along the shelves and in all its nooks and crannies.

Although their offer of postcards, fridge magnets, tea cups, and key rings may sound ordinary and ubiquitous it is anything but that! This is not only a shop, but also a manufacturer of unique gifts and souvenirs.

Many of their designs are based on pre-war postcards and turn of the 19th century images of Gdansk. They also work with local artists creating items like broaches and earrings, photographers and painters, as well as, for example, a local coffee roaster in Oliwa to offer their own unique coffee blends.

And you certainly don’t have to be a tourist to visit them and pick up some beautiful and fun reminders of Gdańsk - I often find little gifts for friends here, fit for any occasion.

Szafa Gdańska also offers a wealth of books, re-prints of old guides, maps, and graphic prints.

Find them [here], open Monday to Friday (10am – 6pm), and Saturdays (10am – 3pm).
