Fikcja Café (Fiction Café) is a perfect marriage of two of my absolutely favourite things: a good book and a lovely cuppa!
Situated in Wrzeszcz, Gdańsk on 99/101 Grunwaldzka Avenue (almost vis-à-vis Manhattan shopping centre), it's the perfect escape for bookworms, a cosy spot for a bit of gossip and a coffee with a friend, and even a meeting place for language lovers!
Besides it's good selection of new books, including a section for kids, Fikcja Cafe also has a second hand foreign language section, and a free book exchange! They offer a variety of activities, such as book clubs for adults and children, meetings with native language speakers such as the Spanish Club on Saturdays, and a soon-to-start Tuesday film evening. The menu offers a good variety of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and something for your sweet tooth of course! They also serve a small selection of wine, beer, liqueurs and even a cheeseboard.
Whether you come for the books, the coffee, the company, or a bit of culture, with winter around the corner I can't think of a cosier hideaway.
